Iwas looking around because I had to reset the 4k max for a few different reasons but I found that Kodi wouldn't show the "Transfer to USB" option. So I went back to the PC reformatted the USB drive to FAT32 and it showed up. So just go back and reformat the drive and it should show the option again. Thanks Finnzz!

Thanks Check and see if your router has a usb port. Try plugging your drive there then point to new location via samba (\192.168.x.1\xxxxx) I've done that but I have a speed issue - the video buffers as if I'm streaming over the Internet. Kind of defeats the purpose of downloading videos and watching them offline.
